Gael Alcock is a cellist who specializes in collaborative projects and improvization. From the late ‘60s to early ‘90s she played with East and West Coast orchestras and chamber music groups, developing classical technique and solo repertoire with teachers George Finckel, Nicolau Hohloff, Michael Grebanier, Jules Eskin, and Colin Hampton. Since moving from San Francisco to Berkeley in 1990 and taking Cazadero family camp jazz classes with Larry de La Cruz, she’s followed the jazz path.
